2014 Christmas in Comfort Parade slideshow

It’s been a while since I posted on the blog.  Here is a great way to start up again.  Comfort, Texas celebrates Christmas in Comfort on the Saturday following Thanksgiving Day.  We at Cypress Creek Restaurant usually only open at lunch time so that we can all go enjoy the night time Christmas parade.  In case you missed it, here is a video slideshow of most of the floats.

Cypress Creek Restaurant Hours

We have temporarily changed the hours for the next couple of months. We are closing on Tuesday’s for the time being until further notice. For lunch we are open from 11:00 – 2:00 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. From 11:30 – 2:30 on Saturday and Sunday. For dinner we are open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5:30 until 8:30.

We hope everyone is staying warm this winter! It has been unusually cold. Pleas come see us soon!!

Art Happens in Comfort

Saturday, September 15th from 10 a.m until 4 p.m. is the perfect time to be in Comfort, TX to visit some unique shops hosting Artists from all over. While in town be sure to visit all the shops and grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants and enjoy what Comfort has to offer. Cypress Creek Restaurant will have some some photographs for sale so be sure to stop in for lunch and to browse through the photos. We are open for lunch from 11:30 until 2:30 on Saturday.

Cypress Creek Inn Restaurant placed 3rd in 2 categories and second in 3 categories. We placed FIRST in 2 categories: Best Home Cooking and Best Service. Stop by on a Sunday after Church or while driving through Comfort for a great Home cooked Dinner. Our Sunday Specials are under $11 and are served with iced tea or coffee, a salad, 2 side veggies, choice of Entree and slice of dessert. Danielle and Jared: Our Engagement Photo Session

I am excited to finally share photos from Danielle and Jared’s engagement session.  Thank you Danielle and Jared!!  I appreciate your trust in me!  Thank you Kathy and Bert for your continued support and for being there on the day of the engagement shoot.  Thank you also to Jerry Stock for always helping me when my computer skills are challenged.

We also did Danielle’s Bridal shoot this past weekend and I can’t wait to show off those photos as well but it will have to be until after the wedding!

Girl’s Night Out: Tuesday, Nov. 15th

Cypress Creek Inn will be opened for dinner on Girl’s Night Out from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. We will have a limited menu so that everyone can come in, enjoy a lighter meal with their friends and continue shopping at the participating shops in Comfort. The shops will be open from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to start your Christmas shopping early!! Comfort Village Fall Antiques Show

This weekend  (October 15,16) the Comfort Village Fall Antiques Show will be held at the Comfort Park!!!  Bring your friends out and make a day or a weekend out of shopping, eating and visiting.  Come see what Comfort has to offer.  While you are here, stop by Cypress Creek Inn Restaurant for a good home cooked meal.  Saturday the Lunch and Dinner Special will be our very popular Meat Loaf!!  Sunday’s special will the the even more popular Turkey and Dressing or Baked Ham with raisin sauce.  It’s time for us to start baking Fall Desserts.  We will have Pumpkin Pie as well as Chocolate-Pecan Pie!

While you are in town be sure to visit the Antique show as well as the rest of the local establishments.  There is a variety of shops along Hwy 27 as well as in downtown historic Comfort.  If you like wine, be sure to check out the local wineries.  There is something for everyone.  Stay at one of our B&B’s and if not on this trip, be sure to make reservations for another weekend getaway.

If that’s not all, we have a Scarecrow invasion starting this weekend and the participating homes and businesses will have the scarecrows up until Nov. 2nd.
